The list is for people interested in building their own wearable, and the group purchases facilitate that. I think that the problem is likely people with the "ADD ME TOO" style posts. Most people seem to have the sense to email the list organizer personally, but some apparently don't (well, some people also can't grasp how to unsubscribe). If the purchase list traffic were kept to a minimum, with only posts from the organizers mentioning status, etc, would that be agreeable?
