Yep. I've had some ideas for an OS - I think it is V.doable.

Someone suggested using UZI a unix port for the Z80. I want an icon
based OS though.

also we need:

display - private eye or whatever... - the lcd display isn't too suitable for
a wearable.

I think I might stick with the LCD until we get the system up and
running and then look for a display.

  keyboard - I think a hydra (seven key - keyboard -
my own design) varient keybord could be interfaced....

I would like to see this design it sounds good.

proper comms stuff - ie that port on the game boy - we need to be
able to interface properly with it.

what do you want to hook to it. Have you checked out the GB
development ring for ideas or already completed projects.

 storage - flash ram?

how are we going to hook it to the gameboy? Use of the port or
making a cartridge? I've seen cartridges made already.

ram - more - 16k could be better...

How could we even hook any more up. WAIT! You use memory mapping
and send it to a cartridge, right. Yea lets add more. How much do
you think is possible to add to a Z80.

os - an icon based system - NB. need to use some sort of filing
system. I had a plan for the format of flash ram disks.

Yea lets see what we can come up with. Sounds good.

NB: If you see any game boy stuff on the net, please save it all (ie.
circuit diagrams etc...)
bye!

I think that we can pull this together. Is there anyone else that is
planning to get in on this?
Kent
