I would think your best bet is to plug the hard drive from your wearable into your win95 desktop machine and install linux onto the wearableHD. The alternative (which for some reason is the way I always do it) is to power down your desktop, unplug the cdrom and floppy ide cables from your desktop machine (leave the power cords plugged in) and plug them into your wearable. This is assuming you have connections for a floppy and a second ide device on your wearable. Power up your desktop machine to power the cd and floppy, then power up your wearable and install. I think the reason I usually do it this way is so that I can check the installation, and transfer other things off the cdrom w/o having to move the hard drive back and forth repeatedly. Your other alternative is to do a network install, but you need a floppy and ethernet for that so never mind. :) -Paul -- R.
