I don't knoe a lot about generators but this might work.  What about
attaching to a magnet on a strap to each of your ankles so that when you
walk your feet pass each other and this compresses the magnetic field.
When the field compresses it creates power.  This would also be a good
thing for people who have problems tripping over their own feet since the
magnetic force might push them apart a little.  in addition, the magnet
will at least 3 or so feet way from the guts of the system so that there
will be little affect on the hard drive and other devices.
