Not that I'm a MS supporter (I run both Linux & Windows NT on my laptop & do
most of my work in Linux), but is Windows NT a viable option?

                Linux Win95 WinNT MacOS
Price free $89/$209 $190+ $99
Stable excellent flaky excellent good
configurability excellent fair good good
powermanagement good good good excellent
tech support excellent bad bad? good
system size 20+ megs 100+ megs 100++ megs 100+ megs

but these aren't the only criteria for many of us. There's also application
base and document format compatibilty issues (note how each new MS Office
release uses document formats that are incompatible with previous versions to
gently nudge all of us to upgrade :^b ). Granted I'm currently laptop based &
need to collaborate on documents with others in my office and in other
companies.

Also, what opinions do wearable users have about GUIs? I recall reading some
posts while ago that don't speak well of them for wearable use - any
elaboration or new thoughts?
