Actually, one of the links I found the other day while hunting for
wearable computer sites had a device in development that was intended to
provide a database of pre-translated phrases (such as "Step out of the
car.") that a policeman could use when dealing with a person who did not
speak English. Although the device was meant (I believe) for strictly
spoken input and output, it still qualifies as a wearable.
