BTW, a system almost identical to the Lizzy was used in a space
shuttle mission, if that makes you feel more secure in PC/104 for
rockets.  

Another trick is to use one of the lower power systems and then encase
it in a plastic or parafin block.  You have to make sure the plastic
flows at a temperature safe for the components though.  Experiment on
inexpensive stuff first.  Its a trick the Eudamons (as well as many
other hackers) used to use.
