You can learn to control individual motorneurons.  Simply attach an
instrumentation amplifier to some electrodes stuck to whatever muscle
group you wish to work with.  Feed the output into an audio amplifier,
and play.

Digitally encode that (this is the hard step), and you can use it for
whatever control application you want.
