We get these requests at the lab occasionally. However, in my
experience, assisting a particular person requires that the person be
local and a certain level of committment. So, I'm sending this out to
the list to see if anyone is interested. Please reply directly to the
sender.

hi
I am a severly disabled person [AIDS-like symptoms and loss of muscle
mass].
A volunter nurse is helping me now with typing and such.
I sometimes use computers to create art.
I'm not enrolled in school anymore though...
they let me use the computers at the campus lab
but it gets more and more difficult.
I am slowly losing sensation in my body.

would any of your group like to work with some one who desperately needs
help to maitain some ability to participate meaningfully in society?

can you post this for me?

it could be a paper or project,
but the end would be a interface or system for the disabled
could be a nice product!

there is money out there for research into assistive technology
but I need to be affiliated with a group
esp. a university...

let me know please,

curtis
