IMHO, no. The Mac, about which I know little, is still plagued by the perception of being expensive, with little in the way of cheaper hardware available. Also, it still suffers from the single-source problems any commercial OS will have - bugfixes will be later than in a open-source OS. As for NT, while I consider it more UNIX-like than Win95, it is still a long way from being robust enough for 24/7 use. Also, it does not appear to have any good way to be 'cut to the core' and still retain functionality. To be fair, none of the commercial *nixes are good candidates, excepting those targeted at the palmtop market, and they aren't yet the full-capability OS Linux is. Heck, the one complex thing about Linux is the one a wearable is most likely to not use - X. -- Pete Hardie | Goalie, DVSG Dart Team Scientific Atlanta | Digital Video Services Group | -- Subcription/unsubscription/info requests: send e-mail with subject of "subscribe", "unsubscribe", or "info" toWear-Hard Mailing List Archive (searchable): http://wearables.ml.org
