Simple.. these "card PCs" actually plug into a backplane (JameCo's p/n
135052, 14 ISA, or 135061, 10 ISA 4 PCI PICMG) so that you can use them
with other cards like a video, SCSI, or digital I/O card in a
rack-mounted computer. The reason I mentioned the 486 PC-card is because
it requires only 5 volts to run the board :) and the simple fact that
you can fabricate your own backplanes relatively easy, should mean that
the only other thing you would want to hang on the PC card, is a video
card, and cable up a 1G HDD. This combination to me seems like a very
cost effective wearable. And if you need a VGA to NTSC converter that
runs with power from the keyboard port, check JameCo's p/n 150447. (End
