The appointment is for three years and is renewable. Responsibilities: To conduct, develop and support state-of-the-art research on `smart environment' and `wearable' systems that enhance human capabilites for learning, thinking, and acting. Research topics may include computer vision, computer audition, and wearable computing. Will work with graduate students to develop research projects and demonstrations of research for sponsors. Qualifications: A strong desire to improve people's daily life through appropriate `smart' technology. Ph.D. in engineering, computer science, mathematics or other relevant field. Experience in building interactive software systems. Familiarity and experience with several of: wearable computing, computer vision, audition, signal processing.
