One of the nice things about X though is that you can give your self a
virtual desktop so that if you did want an augmented reality program you
could have the screen move accoring to your compass heading. Also it can
be rescaled to almost anything you want. While tweaking my own X system I
tried out a display at 320x200 and with the font set to tiny you could get
a screen about 50x15 characters with a large font.
