The focusing lens is rather poor, and causes the text around the Keep in mind that Apple ]['s and their clones (though the laser is radically different under the hood) don't put out a true NTSC signal. They were designed when crystals were expensive, so the original apple based all of it's clocks on divisions and subdivisions of ONE crystal. For that reason, the signal is usually a little skewed from proper NTSC. While not a problem for most televisions, some VCRs and more arcane video equipment (such as camcorders displays or goggles) may have trouble with it.
