Ok anyone have an idea on the power consumption rates on a average Laptop
HD?
I'm wondering if I have enough power here or if I need to expand my DC-DC
conversion scheme. I think I have found a way to make the JAmeco 486 pc-104
compatable motherboard to use 1/2 of the rated power. I swapped the 486 dx2
processor for a 486 sx and the amp meter shows only 1.2 amp draw. a decent
improvement in power use. Now to find a low power version of a 486dx
processor....

: You can get a 2.5" IDE to normal IDE adaptor. It has connctions for
: normal IDE cabling and normal power-supply.
