The First Genuine Cyborg?

According to PCWeek (UK), Professor Warwick of Reading University
Cybernetics department became the world's first cyborg.

He had a chip surgically implanted in his arm. The chip currently
opens doors and turns on his computer and data encoded on the chip
means his location can be tracked using sensors.

The article says that the chip can be programmed to tell him how many
unread emails he has and to remind him of meetings.

Further info can probably be found at the VNU or Reading University
websites (I don't have web access from this machine or I'd check it
     out myself).
