 it's not based on commercial off the shelf components.

 wearcomp5 and wearcomp6 were,
but wearcomp7
 and wearcomp8 designs are such that one needs to expend
  quite a bit of work to build one.

 better for me to license the technology to manufacturers,
and make some early prototypes available
 to a small number of users for testing.

maybe i should get proposals from the list from those who want to get
one for testing (e.g. description of what you would do with it, what kind
of testing proposed, new application for it, etc.) and see if i can get
a small run of them made.

i was originally thinking of a small run of 25 for my class here in
toronto (ece1766 as in http://wearcam.org/ece1766.html) but maybe it
could happen on a larger community scale.  25 units is probably too small
of a production run anyway.
