Car-MP3, EE-ignorant style

My Car MP3 player:

1 Vaio PCG-505G, charged and loaded with MP3s and Winamp
1 Car with tape deck
1 Mini stereo jack to cassette adapter

Insert jack into laptop headphone and cassette into
car tape deck. Preferably setup playlists before
starting car, then press play.

I am considering adding voice commands to Winamp
(easy to do with Dragon Dictate macros) so as not
to endanger my life for my geek whims.

On the subject of Dragon: like all the voice recognition
software I know about, you have to get quality sound
cards (good mic input) and microphones to get good
quality recognition. After a day to a week of using
Dragon NaturallySpeaking (the product that allows you
to speak naturally, not having to pause between words),
and METICULOUSLY CORRECTING every misrecognition, it's
quite useful.

The "I" being recognized as "sex" thing must be the
result of poor input quality, a trickster (training
the sound of "I" to output the word), or psychokinetic
phenomena.

Any of you know about Phoenix BIOS settings being lost
regularly? I was successful one time in setting the
"Lid close" action to "turn off VGA, but don't suspend",
but now no matter what I do, the settings revert back
to default every time. I am definitely "saving and
exiting" with F10. Is this solely a BIOS thing or do
I need to dig around in my computer for other software
that manages power? (Which I have.. can't find anything
relating to lid closure.)
