(I'm answering for Thad, as he's running around the country at the moment) Thad and I are both running one of the SuperMOPS boards (586dx133), with 2.1 Gig HDD, PE and twiddler. Running full out (ie, compiling kernel), the system draws about an amp, and is running at 5 volts from a DC-to-DC converter. When idle, consumption drops to about half an amp. Using two of the LI+ NP-950s (~32 W/hr each), we're getting about 12-15 hours on day-to-day useage, which means we're running a lot closer to 5 watts than 2.5. Hmmm, some of this is probably due to lossage in the power converter, because those are only about 80-85% efficient. The newer ones look substantially better. Regardless, battery life of 12 hours or more is really nice... -Josh -- Subcription/unsubscription/info requests: send e-mail with subject of "subscribe", "unsubscribe", or "info" toWear-Hard Mailing List Archive (searchable): http://wearables.ml.org
