Shopping.com deemed incompetent

Hi all,

You may recall my mail describing the cheap, cheap
prices on shopping.com and how I received my
Sony Lithium NP-F750 battery in a fairly timely
fashion. This mail is to NEGATE ALL THE GOOD
FUZZIES I got from them from that one shipment.

I ordered the battery charger separately from the
battery.. in October. Roughly three weeks later
(much too late for my taste), I received:

1. SoundBlaster Live
2. A Cambridge Soundworks Speaker System

The next day I called "1-800-LOVE2SHOP".. waited
for a literal 45 minutes on the phone.. to be
greeted by a hang-up click at the end of the
time period.

Furious, I emailed their customer service explaining
the matter and saying "if your customer service
continues to be this bad, I'm not ordering from
you again, regardless of how good your prices are."

I got a mail the following day (how's that for
slow service) with an RMA number for both packages
and a billing number for FEDEX. No mention of
my missing battery charger.

I sent back the packages.. and emailed the
customer service rep again asking what the hell was
going on with my battery charger.

Two days later she responded saying "When we
receive the SoundBlaster, we will ship your
package." I replied, saying "It was your company's
incompetence that I haven't received my package
that I ordered in OCTOBER.. and your company's
incompetence that I received the friggin soundblaster
and speakers.. and that I had to deal with the
ensuing confusion and screwup.. and now you're
telling me you won't send my package until you
receive yours? Cancel the damn order." (In
slightly more diplomatic words, but not much.)

Today I got a mail from her, saying "we received
the soundblaster. We have sent out the Sony
InfoLithium NP-F750 battery."

What's wrong with this picture?

So now I just sent them an email explaining that
I already received the damn battery and it was the
charger that I was missing.. and I don't want to
buy the charger from them anyway.

The moral of the story is this (and spread the word!):

DON'T BUY FROM SHOPPING.COM!!

Thank you.

Patricia
