Hello all I have been reading this list for a while, and last night a lovely idea popped into my head, and I figured to ask you about the fesability <sp?> so here goes: There are copys of dragon dictate or such for other languages that, with a small directional mike would not be that hard to pipe the speech of someone that you don't speak the language of very well into a text file. this file could then go through a translator ( I know that netscape has a decent one) and then a text reader program (MacTalk or the Amiga Voice) could output that text into your ear of a litte bud headphone. The reverse could be piped through your throat mike into a small speaker on placed on your shoulder, or in your jacket or what ever. I know the inflection would be lost, but I think that it would be a rather usefull addition to the wearables of those who travel abroad, and can't afford a translator. -Travis "I got nail bombs, grenades, plasteek, and a half ounce o' reeeal hot chili powder" Lobo _Lobo vs The Mask_ -----BEGIN GEEK CODE BLOCK----- Version: 3.1 G! d-(+) s:+ a?
