ViA Navy Contract Speaks Volumes

ViA, Inc. has recently commenced work on a Navy contract to develop a mobile
voice-to-voice language translation system. The goal for this project is to
develop a near real-time, two-way, mobile, lightweight, robust and low-cost
multi-lingual language translation device that can be operated with minimal
training in a hands-free manner.

The voice-to-voice language translation system will run on the ViA II
Wearable PC, a powerful, full-function, truly mobile PC. The core unit,
which is worn around the waist in a belt-like configuration, weighs only 22
ounces but houses a 180 MHz processor, 3.2 GB HDD, 64 Mb RAM, and two PC
card slots.

ViA, Inc., headquartered in Northfield, Minn., manufactures the world’s
first and only flexible, wearable personal computer. ViA has targeted
applications in numerous vertical markets including insurance, food service,
industry, retail, medical and manufacturing. The Company is privately held.

For more information about the Company, its products and services, visit the
