My definition was probably hard to understand this is the english
definition :
http://www.medialinkworldwide.com/glossary.htm
laryngophone: A throat microphone, attached more closely to the neck
than a lapel mike; pronounced
la-RING-guh-fone.

this company sells tranceivers laryngophones are among accessories:
http://www.icom-france.com/icf3.html

they are still in use in aerospace:
http://www.neosoft.com/Russia_House/sale/320-356.html

this company sells laryngophones for the disables:
http://www.eac-cyprus.com/Other_Products.htm

this company was founded by a french student Martine Kempf who
specialises in voice control when she was an undergraduade
the most interesting product is the katalavox itself.
http://www.katalavox.com/fauteuil.htm

Some links in UK for laryngectomees.
There seem to be one comapny in the UK which makes laryngophones
http://members.aol.com/nalcuk/resources.htm

As a general rule laryngophones are most costly than ordinary mikes
but they will save you time and ressources on your wearable since they
cancel ambient noise.

I hope this will help.
Lionel
