Couldn't you get away with 6 wires (common Vcc or common Gnd
approach),  instead of 10, at the expense of a little tougher
electronics in the interface?  Might make a big difference on a hand...

  (Use 3 Quad Analog bilateral switches to interface the gloves,
perhaps?)
