Yeah, I've noticed the same thing...
although usually accompanied by some comment that I need to get a
laser pointer stuck on the side of it so that I become a TrueBorg(tm).

I, too, get alot of comments from friends/coworkers saying that I need
a "cooler looking" pair of glasses, I guess "regular" safety glasses
just don't cut it in the fashion department.
