Important safety tip: don't get shot while wearing it!

It's actually remarkably hard to cause -liquid- gasoline to blow up,
TV shows nonwithstanding. (Not as hard as home heating oil, aka
diesel, but still, there's a reason why fuel injectors have to atomize
it.) I'd be more concerned about breathing the fumes. You -did- put
a valve on the thing so it could vent, right? :) [Actually, you'd
probably have to put a charcoal canister on the vent, as is done in
car gas tanks, to satisfy emissions requirements...]

Such a turbine engine could just as easily run on alcohol, which solves the
emissions and fossil fuel problem. The explosive problem would remain
though, not to mention the fact that those under the age of 21 wouldn't be
able to buy the fuel then...

You've never heard of isopropanol? Much cheaper than ethanol, and you
can buy 91% at CVS. (And anything higher would just instantly dilute
itself again once you exposed it to air with any water vapor in it...)
Check the CRC for relative heats of combustion.
