Hrm... How's about some group reverse-engineering and modification of Faxviews? PED says that the text resolution of the faxview is not much better than the M1, but from my reading it seems that this is a limitation of the Faxview guts, not the display itself... Would that PIC thingie be useful here? In about a month I'll have enough time and overhead to pimp out the ~$250 for a Faxview, assuming that I think this little project would ever get anywhere...
