>box to NT at one time, Oops <G> (It'd be nice if there's a Linux >equivalent for interlnk.exe; Don't think I want an InterSvr.Exe >equivalent, that'd be scary <G>) Probably something like local machine: tar -cO <directory> > /dev/cua1 (or /dev/lp0 or /dev/<whatver>) remote machine: tar -xf /dev/cua1 would do :-) Might actually have to go to a temporary file, but you get the idea. In reference to using the Rio as a 48M transportation medium, I've done the same thing with my wearable several times when we've been doing off-campus demos. Something breaks because you don't have the right software on your SGI, download the patch from home on your wearable using your wireless or the local phone lines, and do the above to install it on the SGI. When going into an environment where you don't control everything, making a backup copy of your work on your wearable is a REALLY good idea.
