I must say that the m1 display is rather tempting at such a price,
especially considering the warnings about messing with viewfinders and
lcds (high voltage). While I'm still open to the idea of using a
decent camcorder viewfinder (I have a ntsc setup on my laptop already),
I have yet to find anyone or any company who would supply such a
viewfinder cheaply. Even the twiddler has caused a bit of discord to
my backwoods environment, although I'm definitely considering it as
long as I keep my hand in my pocket most of the time....I'm in Bangor,
Maine at the moment.
Most recently I've been thinking about wearing a small handheld
television which has a video input...just strap it on eh? Hard to say,
I know it wouldn't be clear as day, especially in daylight but for
certain purposes while using some text to speech software....well who
knows? Might be a nice guide.
Oddly enough, I've been considering using my present setup at a sort
of costume...maybe only one day a year considering its bulk. I was
going to post a pict at www.umit.maine.edu/~Tristan_Healy but well,
we'll see...... my first wearable has consisted of using my laptop
with a harness and using a headmounted camera to see while blanketed
under, well, a blanket :)
