I also have a pair of the sony glasstrons (800x600 res), which were 2500$. They are wonderful for many things (but unlike the vio, its not easy to remove one eye to make it useful for a mobile wearable. If you need/want to cover both eyes (e.g. for some augmented reality wearable stuff) they are great. (They are not very power thrifty, eats a 7.4V 1.2Ah battery in just under an hour).
