Re: NTSC or VGA on Sony's LCX005BKB (on Timeline)?

To use this display you need a Sony CXD2411R. This takes a composite style
Sync pulse and generates the correct syncs for the display. Am I right in
thinking that to convert VGA syncs to composite syncs you just short the H
and V together.

By the way when someone said the pins were 1.5cm wide they meant
collectively; the total width of all pins is 1.5cm, encased in plastic film.
Can you not get special connectors for attaching these to PCBs? I'm sure I
remember seeing these on the ZX81 (not sure about USAlien name for this
machine, the Sinclair's were called Timex's)

Another Sony chip converts composite into RGB and Sync in case, you're
interested. All I need is a cheap source of IR sensitive cameras (perhaps
the chips in TYCO cameras?) and cheapo zoom lenses. Then I have a pair of
zoomable night visions goggles. Nice. Real Nice.
