A while ago when they Filed those patents I saw trouble coming.. Their patents are too vague.. they patent voice recognition on a wearable as they invented it and they didn't.. it was invented here by the people on this list. I am all for a patent on process #9982 which uses the foobar system to compensate for nasal drip in the speakers voice (That was an example) but I am 100% against a patent that is all emcompassing (Patent on breathing and walking while using a wearable) and the Xybernaut patents are very very vague. This type of fight is typical today... several companies are suing for silly things like "a patent on internet news boards" or "patent on internet selling of songs" which really will not hold up in court and are designed to win if you can throw more money at it than the other guy. If the infringement is on a process or design that Xybernaut engineered then hang them high... if' it's a concept..... then xybernaut owes Steve Mann huge sums of money as he built the concept that their concept is built on. As far as I can see, this will be a nightmare for wearables... What's next? I manufacture some wearables for Search and Rescue and IBM Sues me because they "pantented" the concept of a wearable? they sure are touting that they thought up the whole idea on their own. ----- Original Message ----- From: <> To: <
