Recently I was patenting some work I had been doing that the patent search kicked back the Xybernaut patent to me. I was a little suprized since I had thought it would clearly not be relevent, in the end it turned out that it wasn't but I was floored that they had gotten this patent though the patent office. Their claims section is not quite as bad as the overall patent but they do claim a LOT of material that would seem like well established prior art that the patent reviewer, probiably not familiar with wearable computers, simply was not aware of. It was rather shocking. Basicly their patent is so broad it could mean a lot of long and nasty law suits over the next few years. -- Subcription/unsubscription/info requests: send e-mail with subject of "subscribe", "unsubscribe", or "info" toWear-Hard Mailing List Archive (searchable): http://wearables.blu.org
