I don't have a working wearable yet, but here's what I've got planned.

HP 95LX palmtop, repackaged:
XT class machine, 8086 processor, monochrome display.
ROM software, including DOS 3.3 and a suite comparable
		to Works
	1 PCMCIA type I slot
Wired and wireless (IR) serial I/O

Display, don't know yet. I'll start with the original LCD, but it's
almost
the size of a Beta video tape, so it's a bit on the big side. Later on,
hack a monocular display that's less obvious...the original might be
worn on the arm.

Keyboard, don't know yet. I'll start out with the original keyboard,
and then try to reengineer it. If I'm right (haven't opened the keyboard
casing yet) and it's a simple matrix, I may try for a micro-QWERTY
keyboard, or even a chording keyboard like "KeyGlove" on the
WearHard archive's site.

Size: CPU unit will be approximately beeper sized (3/4" x 3 x 4),
complete with battery pack. (20 hours + on 2 AA batteries...I
wonder how long 2 D cells would last?) Display will be variable
in size, progressively shrinking, I hope. Keyboard will be
modular...I'm shooting for something credit-card sized.

HP95LX was $5, thanks to the display problem. I love "discards."
Someone sent me a note with (hopefully) the fix for this problem.

I've also picked up some camcorder viewfinders, for $2 each. One
has a 3/4" CRT, and the other has a 1/2" one -- the 1/2" would make
a better HMD, but I'm not sure about the resolution, or how to hook
it up yet.
