I actually want it for flexibility in work position; I need to be in an ergonimically sound position, but usually that is impossible given the available spaces for my monitor. An HMD makes for a much better solution than that tilt-o-matic monitor thing. Heck, I'd almost settle for a fibre-optic connection to my monitor out, or something; i.e., no smarts in the display, just a cable to something that actually does the displaying.
