What does that battery say on it about watts or amp hours? The "12v" is only 1/2 the story. To put together an equivalent battery we need to know the other numbers on the battery you now use that gives you 2 hours. Cowgirl> ...anyone had any suggestions on a small light replacement. The power Cowgirl> requirments for the Parvus Power I is 7.5-17V input. I use 2 NP-F950s wired so that the "+" of one goes to the "-" of the other, then using the remaing "-" and "+" (one from each battery) go to the system. This is called "series" and gives you a voltage of 14.5V to 16.5V which sounds like it is fine for your board. You might want to consider adding a diode to protect aganst reversing the polarity (pluging it in backwards) which has the added benifit (in this case) of droping the voltage a bit, so you are not getting quite so close to the 17v that your board wants as a max. Many of us use an arrangement like this that also allows you to plug in more than one power source at the same time without the power sources hurting each other. THis way you can plug in a fresh battery or an alternate power source with out having to shut down. I run a similar system, parvus scalable I, cell P166, M1, modified BAT. I get aprox. 9 hours from the 2 sonys. If you would like to talk about this more (we can get into specifics) feel free to write me off the list. Hope this helps, Greg -- Greg Priest-Dorman
