For my edification and perhaps to bring these hw back on topic, dos anybody know where I can get a linux version specific for wearables (or just small, fast, few bells, etc)? I know I could just startwhitiling away at my kernel myself, but I assume somebody already has either a distro or doc on the subject. thanks, ASK (but as a side note, I run my laptop dual boot win95/linux just to learn what all the fuss is about with linux. Linux was pretty easy to setup and get going with my unix background, but has a long way to go to really be functonal. between wine and staroffice I have ported all of my world over to linux so that I could compare, but I still do all real work in windows.) Just as a side note: I havent had to download a couple of megs in about 3 years and my apps still work... that is a myth that you have to run the latest and greatest kernel.... I have a server still running 0.92 and it works fine for data collection... Nope those that download the latest kernel every week (or day as it seems lately) just have lots of spare time on their hands... (P.S. many great server apps will NOT work with the new kernels... they wont even compile... linux will exit the fractured stage and re-enter the useable stage soon... I hope...) -----Original Message----- From: Robert Parratt <
