Andrea's ANC-1000 works great for voice recognition -- Fry's occasionally
puts them on sale at realistic prices.
Andrea has 2 lines -- NC and ANC. NC is noise cancellation, passive. It
works alright, but isn't perfect. ANC is active noise cancellation, and
works fantastic.
As a test, I sat between my computer and tV set (quite close), turned
up Star Trek, had my mom talking to me in the backgorund and my dog
just happened to bark.
The only thing heard on the recording was my voice -- I was able to
find a residual waveform with a significant amount of work, but for all
practical purposes it was a perfectly clean recording.
