As I understand it, the GameBoy is based on the Z80, which means
it has a general purpose processor. There is an RS232 serial hack
for it, as well as a terminal emulator. The GameBoy has been well
hacked...do a web search and you'll come up with a LOT of information
about it and its hardware, and a LOT of homebrewed software as well.
Shouldn't be too hard to hook it up as a serial text display -- graphics
would be the next logical step, and since it's designed as a graphical
display system...shouldn't be too bad.
