'Cuz they don't produce power, they only transform it.
Now, if I was to build a coil tuned to 60Hz, anywhere with
power lines in the States (50Hz elsewhere), it would *receive*
the power that the lines broadcast, much like a radio.
Of course, this is illegal and only produces a small amount
of power, but...it's got possibilities. :-)
