This changes from week to week, and there are really very few display
products a person can buy single quantities of.

Well, try again, because the M1 from Tekgear is the most widely used HMD
for personal wearables, and also the best priced. I just looked up
tekgear.ca: 207.161.253.43

There is not yet a consumer product implementing retinal display
technologies.

This is very difficult to do since:
1) most displays are in labs and you can't buy them
2) those you can buy can cost anywhere from $500 to $5000 dollars
3) many you can buy you can only buy in large quantities on order
When this is done, there are only a handful of monocular displays, okay
I'll try this (please correct me)
TekGear M1: 320x240 VGA/NTSC, grayscale, $500
Albatech Personal Monitor: ?x?(180,000 pixels) NTSC/PAL, grayscale, $990
LiteEye B: 320x240 NTSC, grayscale, $500 (no headset)
LiteEye : 320x240 NTSC, color, $1295 (no headset)
Sony Glasstron(PLMA55): 320x240?* NTSC, color, $600-800 (wraparound)
i-glasses: ?x?(180,000 pixels) NTSC/PAL/SVHS, color, $500 (wraparound)
i-glassesLC: ?x? NTSC/SVHS, color, $400 (wraparound)
Daeyang E&C: 800x600 VGA/NTSC/PAL/SVHS, color, $? (wraparound)
Seattle Sight Systems FX series: 640x480 VGA, grayscale, $?
Xybernaut Xyberview: 640x480 VGA, color, $1995
Used only:
ReflectionTech Private Eye P4: 720x280 text, serial, red, $1000
* Sony mentions 78,000 pixels, but some posts mention 180K, there are also
two versions, the later I haven't seen but is supposed to be priced around
$2k
